AWS Philanthropic History and Accomplishments
The AWS Philanthropic Committee’s aim is to develop the annual slate of Charity recipients, to distribute charitable funds raised during the club year, and to offer volunteer support and other assistance as appropriate to the charities on our Charity Slate.
Since 1981 we have raised and donated £520,000 in funds and gifts-in-kind, supporting more than 150 local charities with causes ranging from children in crisis, women fleeing abusive relationships, to newspapers for the blind, wildlife trusts and alcohol and drug abuse support centres, and many others.
